We have a brand association with Mary King who has been a long standing customer of ours too! Mary uses many of our products on a daily basis as well as for giving the final touch at top level events.
Taylor was our "face" of Smart Grooming in 2017 and continues to represent us mainly on the showing circuit, qualifying for the RIHS with her novice pony 'Frankie' last year. Her new pony - Small Land Skyrise is an exciting prospect for 2018 and we look forward to seeing their progress.
Olivia is our youngest ambassador and is going to be doing jumping and dressage on her pony Bluebell.
Olivia is eight years old and has been really successful at showing, which is where she fell in love with the Smart Grooming products “they are so easy to use and cover everything that you need within the range”. Olivia has always had a grey pony and so loves the Smart Grooming whitening range as it makes the ponies look so smart! Last year Olivia was the Reserve Champion Welsh Section A rider and Champion in the South West WPCS as well as coming fifth in the U21 South West British Dressage Quest league. This year (2019) she will be doing more jumping as well as dressage on her new pony, Delfyw Megan (aka Bluebell) . We look forward to seeing her out and about at jumping, pony club and dressage competitions with her pony looking sparkly white!
Lara is 18, from Ayrshire. Lara and her mum, Arlene have been Smart Grooming Brand Ambassadors since 2016 when they bought a novice ISRT, Dowhills Final Fling aka ‘Sid’. They have slowly worked away with him and in 2018 stood RIHS INT Champion at Ayr County Show. They were then 9th in the Large SRT and 7th Amateur Hack in the final at Hickstead.
Having just qualified for RIHS, they are now working towards HOYS
Lara’s favourite Smart Grooming products are Super Shine Oil and Quarter Marking Spray, here’s why she loves them:
“Super Shine is a versatile product that always gives fantastic results.
From Hot Oiling after giving your horse a bath, to putting it through the tail for extra shine. It really is a brilliant product, a little goes a long way so there’s no need to use half a bottle to get it to work!
I love the Quarter Marking spray, it is the only one that we have found that doesn’t attract dust. It leaves the marks looking clean and professional, that last for the whole show day!”
Michele and her team of coloured horses regularly compete in traditional and non-native coloured classes and have qualified for HOYS on a number of occasions.
She also enjoys dressage and showjumping and will be running TSR show prep clinics in 2018!
Emma has had many successes in the show ring having bred a Supreme British National Champion and qualified for HOYS. Her favourite Smart Grooming product is Super Shine; she has had many people pass comment on how amazing her horses look!
Laura is a very talented British Dressage Rider. She recently finished 7th at the Summer National Dressage Championships in the medium silver class on her main horse Sam The Man Veldhoek and intends to qualify for the Winter and Summer nationals this year.
Perfect Plaits is one of Laura's competition essentials. She also uses Super Shine on a daily basis to moisturise her horses coats and keep them in top condition.
Jenny has worked with horses for more than 15 years and although she doesn’t have a horse of her own at present, she has set up her own, very successful, freelance grooming business. This also allows her to spend time with her 2 year old son.
Over the years she has spent with horses, she has groomed for many people who compete in a wide variety of disciplines. She loves what she does no matter the weather, as it provides her with great job satisfaction; whether it’s a happy owner after she’s clipped and trimmed their horse or a horse that she’s turned out performing well. I has gone from strength to strength and I love every minute of it. Jenny has great clients who let her try out smart grooming products on their horses, she will be out grooming at local and county shows this season and feels proud to watch a horse perform at their best knowing that she had a part to play in their success. Jenny still rides and would love to do some more competing – fingers crossed she can head out on another horse soon!

This is my 3rd year of being a Smart Grooming Ambassador and I can not rate every single one of Smart Grooming products highly enough !!
My ultimate favourite and go to product has to be the Leg and Body Whitener, with 6 white socks to keep clean it is the perfect product for the job and it keeps socks super white all day long.

Amy is 25, from Liverpool, and owns 2 horses: Skye, an 8 year old coloured cob and Katy, a 4 year old KWPN Chestnut mare by Everdale.
Amy has owned Skye for 2 years, she was a rescue case when she arrived with Amy with dreadful feet, poor condition, sharp teeth and a sore back from a poorly fitted saddle. Within their first year together, Amy and Skye we turned their hand to Affiliated BD, qualified for Petplan Area Festivals, Petplan Semi-finals, the Coloured Horse championships, and also qualifying for the Sheepgate U25’s championships. “Skye has changed my love for this sport so much, I was very close to giving up and plenty of people had given up on her so our journey together has been very special.”
In contrast, Katy is 4 years old, and “the sassiest most opinionated horse” Amy has ever worked. The pair are taking things really slow this year, to allow Katy to grow and mature. She is highly bred for dressage and Amy has really high hopes for her.
Katy also rides a very handsome bay called Leo, who used to be a very successful show pony but following a field accident has had to find another job. Amy rides him for his owner Jane and again he has qualified for everything he has been aimed for.
Amys aims for this year are for Skye are to qualify for the summer regionals, qualify for Petplan again and to enjoy themselves. Amy tells us “she really is a horse I can do anything with, from riding in the white boards one day to galloping along the beach the next”
I am so lucky to be chosen to represent Smart Grooming; I can’t wait to see what this year brings for me and the horses.

Turnout is a huge part of side saddle riding especially in Equitation classes, the smallest thing can make a huge difference. Robyn tells us that “ with thanks to Smart Grooming I have been able to greatly improve my turnout marks. In between riding, Robyn is studying A Levels before heading to the Royal Agricultural University in September to study International Equine and Agricultural Business Management.
