We support a range of established and up-and-coming riders to help them achieve success in their chosen disciplines and appoint new appoint Brand Ambassadors on a yearly basis to promote and use our products.

Isabelle is an 18 year old eventer and with her teammate Diptford Morning Haze, they have worked up from clear rounds to BE100. Last season they won 4 out of 6 ODEs and gained new personal bests each time they completed, and this year has been even more successful!
Isabelle and Haze are featured in some of our photo shoots, she enjoys using our full Smart Grooming and Borstiq range, particularly the Quarter Marking and Plaiting products!
Laura is a very talented British Dressage Rider. She recently finished 7th at the Summer National Dressage Championships in the medium silver class on her main horse Sam The Man Veldhoek and intends to qualify for the Winter and Summer nationals this year.
Perfect Plaits is one of Laura's competition essentials. She also uses Super Shine on a daily basis to moisturise her horses coats and keep them in top condition.
26 year old, Alice, is based in Surrey and works full time in Osteoporosis Research as well as running her own Eventing Team. Having just won the prestigious Horse and Hound Amateur Rider of the Year, she has a yard full of up and coming horses.
Her main horse, The Little Frenchman (Finlay) is just 15hh and named one of Horse and Hounds “Mini Marvels of all Time”, but has easily qualified for 3* Level. They have completed many Intermediate and 2* events, most memorabley going double clear in the Advanced at Aston Le Walls.
Not forgetting the smallest and fluffiest member of the Alice Goring Eventing Team, Teddy the Shetland! If you’re even the slightest bit horsey, you’ll know who he is! At just 28” tall, Teddy has a whopping 126K followers on Instagram, and counting! Teddy attends every event with Alice and was invited to the Olympia Horse Show to spread the word of their much loved charity, Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony.
Lara is 18, from Ayrshire. Lara and her mum, Arlene have been Smart Grooming Brand Ambassadors since 2016 when they bought a novice ISRT, Dowhills Final Fling aka ‘Sid’. They have slowly worked away with him and in 2018 stood RIHS INT Champion at Ayr County Show.

Lara’s favourite Smart Grooming products are Super Shine Oil because of its versatility from Hot Oiling to enhancing and Quarter Marking Spray, as it is the only one that they have found that doesn’t attract dust. It leaves the marks looking clean and professional, that last for the whole show day!
Amy, 25, is based in Liverpool with her 2 ponies; Skye and Katy and competes in Affiliated British Dressage, as well as riding former successful show pony, Leo.
When Amy bought Skye, she was in poor condition, a rescue case. With a bit of love and care, within a year, Amy and Skye qualified for the Petplan Area Festivals, Petplan Semi-Finals, Coloured Horse Championships and the Sheepgate U25s Championships! Their journey has been very special and the aim to keep on enjoying themselves! Amy also has high hopes for Katy, at only 4 years, they are taking things very slow due to her being the ‘sassiest’ horses ever and to let her grow and mature.
East Devon, 22 year old, Imogen is coming up the ranks in eventing with her partner in crime, Ardo Z. Imogen picked up her Level 2, & 3 in Horse Care and Management qualifications from Kingston Mauward College, as well as her Level 2 & 3 BHS exams in horse and riding, before heading off into the world of freelance grooming.
Imogen and Ardo are a force to be reckoned with, together they are two time 100 Riding Club National Eventing Champions, second place at Swalcliffe Park 1.10 with a double clear and this years Bicton Arena BE Novice section winner!
Imogen loves our Plaiting Wax for creating locked-in plaits and the Perfect Plaits Spray to add more strength and shine, to last all day!
14 year old, Blythe, lives in South West Scotland with her 3 ponies, Lacey, Joey and Poppy. This year she has been focused on doing Working Hunter Pony classes with Joey and have picked up numerous championships already, taking a 2nd in their first RIHS Qualifier!
She also enjoys doing plenty of Pony Club events and hunts all winter long! In the future, Blythe wants to be able to confidently jump round more RIHS and HOYS Working Hunter Pony tracks, the ultimate goal being to qualify for the final! She also hopes to get out Eventing next year to make her more of a rounded rider.
Deep Purple Shampoo is her favourite Smart Grooming Product as it gets her ponies sparkling white while leaving them super soft! Not to be out done by the Super Shine as it never fails to leave them gleaming!
Emma Gunn, 21, lives on the North Coast of Scotland, working as a Mechanical Designer for Nuvia which is a Global company that is involved in decommissioning nuclear plants, alongside competing her own two horses Penskyber Mayflower and Farrellys Charlie across the country. The highlight of the season so far was qualifying for the Royal International Horse Show at AYR County Show.
No matter what pony she turn out for the ring, whether it’s a hairy cob, M&M or a hack - the Smart Grooming Gloss N Go is her solution to everything! It is an essential to anyone’s show basket. She also admires the Smart Grooming Quarter Marking Spray as it just makes it one less thing to worry during hectic show days since the spray locks the marks in place.
Taylor was our "face" of Smart Grooming in 2017 and continues to represent us. Taylor is no stranger to the show ring as she competes her ponies, Small-Land Skyrise, in the show pony classes and Stretcholt Elegance in veterans, to the top level at the Royal International and Horse Of the Year Show.
Honor, 15, currently competes her pony Zara Queen Of Hearts, from her base in the South East. This year has been a whirlwind for the pair taking many amazing results. They won this years NSEA Elite Final at Hickstead, competed in Belgium, Ireland and were selected to jump on the English Team. They also stood highest placed pony at Royal Windsor Horse Show.
Zara is a stereotypical Connemara that loves a good roll in all sorts of dirt and mud! Smart Grooming helps Honor with the Whitening Range. The Deep Purple Shampoo paired with the Polar White Spray will have her gleaming grey in no time!
Jenny has worked with horses for more than 15 years and has set up her own, very successful, freelance grooming business.
Over the years, she has groomed for many people who compete in a wide variety of disciplines. She loves what she does no matter the weather, as it provides her with great job satisfaction; whether it’s a happy owner after she’s clipped and trimmed their horse or a horse that she’s turned out performing well.
Jenny has great clients who let her try all types of Smart Grooming products on their horses, she will be out grooming at local and county shows this season and feels proud to watch a horse perform at their best knowing that she had a part to play in their success.
Olivia is our youngest Ambassador at just 8 years old with her two ponies , Adam and Bluebell.
Olivia is already a very successful show rider, from being crowned Supreme Champion of South West Area of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Performance Scheme to being Reserve Champion in the National Welsh Pony and Cob Society, Section A, element. An amazing achievement for Olivia's first year off the lead rein! She is now hoping to branch off into Show Jumping and Dressage, to make her a triple threat!
Olivia has always had a grey pony and so loves the Smart Grooming whitening range as it makes the ponies look so smart and clean!
Michele and her team of coloured horses regularly compete in traditional and non-native coloured classes and have qualified for HOYS on a number of occasions.
She also enjoys dressage working towards Affiliated British Dressage Elementary, promoting the coloureds at this high standard!
With all that HAIR, her favourite product is the Tame The Mane detangler, to get back the control of big fluffy, tangled or frizzy manes. It is also handy for repelling mud in the winter to keep thick feathers and hair tangle free!
Joining us with her team of show horses is Donna, who used to work within the Racing Industry, working for trainers Rod Millman, Gerald Cotterell, Luca Cumani and Barclay Tagg in the USA, which explains her love for the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) Programme.
Her ex racehorse “Valentine Jak” (his name matches his special face markings!) is well known as being the most consistent participant of the SEIB Racehorse 2 Riding Horse Of The Year qualifying again for 2019! Donna also has a young Novice Horse called “The Noble Prankster” who she hopes will have a good 2019 season.
With the help of the RoR Charity, 2019 is set for Donna with upcoming events teaching everyone all you need to know about the Smart Grooming Range!
Karen is a Devon based Endurance rider that has competed at top level competitions throughout the UK and abroad.
She recently won the Golden Horseshoe Endurance Challenge, held in the very heart of the Exmoor National Park, is the UK’s oldest and one of the toughest competitive endurance rides in the Endurance Calendar which has run since 1965.
She has represented Team GB on several occasions and uses our FEI Approved Smart Grooming products throughout the season.
Amber is an talented amateur Eventer who is hoping to compete at Advanced level this season with one of her horses and Novice with her little horse.
She has produced both her horses herself and has achieved a top 10 placing at the Pony Club Open Championships and a 100% clear XC record at Intermediate. She has also ridden round Burghley Horse Trial's main arena in the ROR class.
Amber is a fan of our Lavender Splosh Wash and Shampoo but says that our Smart Tails are a must have!
Northern Ireland based, Ellie, mainly competes in showing but also enjoys her dressage. She home produces her novice Connemara and small Riding Horse alongside her studies to become a Nurse and running a small clipping and grooming business, Pristine Ponies.
Ellie and her horse, Castlederg, have had some great achievements including Champion in the Ladies Championship at the Northern Ireland Festival. Ellie was competing side saddle at this event as a junior and she was the first junior in history ever to win!
Ellie loves our Whitening range, the Deep Purple, Polar White and Super Blue rinse all work so well together!
Clare is a regional Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) co-coordinator and is very successful in her chosen disciplines which include showing, dressage and side saddle.
Clare runs a successful show team and is passionate about racehorses and re-educating them. New to her team are formerly David Pipe trained, Cheltenham Festival Champion, Moon Racer and Un Temps Pour Tout, French Champion Hurdler and back-to-back Cheltenham Festival Ultima Chaser.
She uses all of our Smart Grooming products to achieve a winning finish.
Chloe is an aspiring young rider who has a passion for producing young horses; she has broken and produced all of her horses herself!
She has competed at many prestigious events including the Dengie Winter League Championships (where she won Best Turned Out) and the TSR HOYS Masterclass, achieving reserve rider.
Chloe is also an experienced groom who regularly turns out 4* horses at events like Bramham, Burghley and Badminton.
Robyn lives in Belfast working as a Test Analyst for software company, Kainos Group. Although competing in many different disciplines, her main passion is Side Saddle.
Her two rides, Artic Eclipse (Levi) and Carnsdale Irish Times (Murphy) are both extremely successful. In the last year, Robyn has taken Side Saddle Champion at Dublin Horse Show, Royal Highland Show, Balmoral Show and 6th at HOYS with Murphy. Not to be outdone, Levi helped pick up Adult Novice Side Saddle Ride of the year at the National Side Saddle Show.
Turnout is a huge part of Side Saddle, the smallest thing can make all the difference. Robyn loves the Equi-shaves and Smart Tails for tidying up. She has even used the Equi-shave on herself to tidy up the fine wispy hairs on the back of her neck before any equitation classes!
Cheshire based, Frances, stepped into the world of dressage to pass time after competing in jumping and racing in her earlier years. After training Ex-Racehorses, Liten Rubi and Phropets Star, reaching Regionals, Area Festivals and Premier Leagues, Frances then bought the teeny tiny Dypool Miami Reef (or Raf to his friends).
With Raf only standing at 13.1hh, what he lacks in height, he makes up for in charm, and he is already getting some dazzling results! Her aims for 2019 are the NPS Prelim Championships, BD 4 year old pony classes and to collect Area Festival Novice Sheets in the autumn ready for 2020 second rounds.
Frances is also one half of the facebook page, Diamonds in the Rough Dressage, where she blogs about her journey into the Dressage world!
Robyn is a show rider based in Wiltshire competing her Connemara Lookout Laura’s Flash (Flash) and her Irish Draught Carrabawn Frances (Chunky), while studying her A-levels, ahead of joining the Royal Agricultural University in September to study International Equine and Agricultural Business Management.
The first time she partnered Chunky in the ring, they won the 2018 Pembroke Stud Supreme Irish Draught Championship against many top producers and horses.This year Robyn and Chunky have started Side Saddle and will be contending the Side Saddle classes as well as the Ladies Hunter classes.
Robyn’s go to Smart Grooming product is the Deep Purple Shampoo, having two greys who are constantly covered in stains, it keeps them gleaming white!
17 year old, Olivia competes her pony Buddy, with British Riding Clubs. Together they do a bit of everything but her main aim is to go eventing and to eventually compete BE.
An essential smart grooming product for Olivia is the Equi-Shave, she finds it helpful for neatening up stray hairs especially on Buddy’s face and legs. As well as this the Super Shine has become an essential to her competition kit and recommends it as something everyone should have for competing in order to give their horse a super finish.
Lily and her horse Gordon live on the Isle of Man and enjoy a variety of disciplines. She has competed British Dressage at Elementary level, achieving bronze at the MQ British Dressage Nationals. Lilly and Gordon (who is now a veteran), also compete successfully on the show circuit, already winning at Aintree Nationals, securing their first round Olympia tickets.
Lilly also has a massive following on her instagram ‘FlaxenPony’, which follows her and Gordons adventures ridden, in-hand and tackless!
Lily wouldn't go anywhere without her Smart Tails as it works wonders on her gelding's very thick and difficult tail.
20 year old, Yorkshire based, Victoria, has her work cut out for her! 6 out of her 8 horses are coloureds, who regularly compete in British Dressage and CHAPS Showing.
Victoria has had huge success with her main ride, 11 year old mare Rubiks Cube (Ruby) since owning her since a 3 year old. Together they came 4th in the Search for a Star Final at HOYS, 2nd at the BD Summer Regionals qualifying for the BD Summer Nationals, represented England in the BD Youth Home Internationals and took many top placings in the Pony Club Championships.
Due to the amount of white she needs to clean, her favourite Smart Grooming product is the Leg and Body Whitener as it provides plenty of coverage and the whitest finish. Its versatility means it can be used as a paste which she uses on her Non-Native Coloureds or as a powder on the fluffier Traditional Coloureds legs.
19 year old, Ben, became an Ambassador this year. Ben prides himself on starting from the bottom and due to hardwork and dedication is aiming to compete at RIHS and HOYS level within the next couple of years.
Ben has two rides, his own 16h novice coloured ‘Brave Monarch’ and his girlfriend’s 14h Welsh Part Bred, RSC Lilly-Anna. Both horses are novices, but have already hit the showing scene, with Brave Monarch heading to the SWPA Championships, taking 3rd in his final.
Ben loves to use the Equi-Shaves as it leaves a lovely close shave without the risk or causing any injury or cutting the horse, while leaving a smart, respectable finish.
Megan is a 13 year old dressage rider from Warwickshire who also shows and events her two cheeky ponies. Gwithian Gallant is a 6 year old Welsh Section B, produced by Megan herself, Leamington Nougat is a Welsh part bred.
Last year Megan was selected to represent the central region at the BYRDS Inter Regional where she came 8th and her team came 2nd. Megan also won the My Quest Regionals on Rosewood Phoenix,
Megan hopes to do plenty of competing this year and is aiming to be selected for the Home International, and to qualify for RIHS and HOYS.
Millie Julef is a 16 year old event rider based in the South West, with her two grey horses. This season her main aim is to get to Frickley U18 champs with Skylark who she have had since the end of August last year.
Millie has been using Smart Grooming products now for 3 years and takes a lot of pride in their appearance at shows, the Polar White spray is her favourite as its amazing at getting those stubborn yellow stains out.
Emma has had many successes in the show ring having bred a Supreme British National Champion and qualified for HOYS.
Her favourite Smart Grooming product is Super Shine; she has had many people pass comment on how amazing her horses look!
Louise is a show rider based on the Isle of Wight, competing her Welsh Section D ‘Ilar Ceio’, otherwise known as Charlie, in M&M Working Hunter Ponies and ridden Native classes. Since owning Charlie, they have moved up the showing levels and now aim to qualify for RIHS and HOYS.
She also has a a 3 year old Welsh D, Menai Y Crwydyn or ‘Alfie’, who Louise has high hopes for him to be a future HOYS ridden pony.
Louise has been an Ambassador for 3 years now and her ultimate product is the Leg & Body Whitener, as its the perfect product for the job of keeping socks super white all day long.
23 year old, Devon rider, Megan competes her coloured, Tony Pony as much as she can! Megan’s heart really lies within showing despite branching into Show Jumping, Dressage and many other disciplines.
Megan hopes to one day compete at the top level and has gained confidence in her abilities thanks to Tony.
Their show prep essentials are Tame The Mane, Polar White and Coat Sheen, to give Tony the winning edge!
Sophie and Georgie are a sister equine team who enjoy Showing, Showjumping and Eventing. Sophie is the East Anglian Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) volunteer coordinator and together they have qualified and competed at the Hickstead Derby meeting for the RoR Championship in 2015 and 2016. This sister duo are aiming for HOYS and the RoR Championships in 2018.
Sophie's favourite Smart Grooming products are Leg and Body Whitener and Polar White - she says they're better than sliced bread as they make her life as a groom much easier!
Devon based, Mother Daughter Duo, Liz and Pip are both Ambassadors for the Smart Grooming brand.
Liz, a long standing senior ambassador, is successful in the show ring with her in hand ponies, while supporting her daughter’s dressage commitments. Pip, along with Poppy the striking coloured dressage pony, have been junior ambassadors for several years now. We have watched the pair grow and they are now competing at Novice level while training with the BD Youth FEI/A/B Squad.
They use our full smart grooming range for their own use both at home and competitions, Liz also uses it for the show preparation demonstrations she organisations.
